Episode 033: October 3-7, 2004 (Days 12-16)

Sayid explains himself to Rousseau, and discovers that she was the one who made the French distress call.  He is eventually able to gain her trust enough so that she lets him go.  Before he leaves, we learn that Alex was her child, and that she killed the other members of her science team because they were sick.  Meanwhile, Hurley is on a mission to create some entertainment for everyone, and decides to build a golf course out in an open area on the island.  Hurley's golf course draws a lot of attention, and a group come out to watch the festivities.  Claire begins having nightmares that someone is trying to take her baby, and wakes up with blood on her hands.  The tail section decided to leave the beach to get away from the Others, and makes camp near a river inland.  Claire feels like her dreams are too real to be dreams.  Hurley becomes a little concerned that there may actually be someone going after Claire, and decides to create a census based on the passenger manifest.  Claire talks with Charlie and realizes that the psychic she went to see in Australia knew she would crash on the island.  Sayid returns to camp after parting ways with Rousseau and hearing voices in the jungle.  And we close out the episode with Hurley realizing that one of the survivors wasn't actually on the passenger manifest, before we cut to Ethan standing in front of Claire and Charlie. 1. You miss something here. We get a flashback from this scene in "One of Us" when we see a more extended version of Claire getting attacked. We see Ethan wearing a hood and saying: "shh". I think he also holds a needle here. I wish you'd put this in. The great thing is he takes off this sweater and comes out after the attack.

  2. @Choekaas - I actually had that question come up in the comments of a later episode, and addressed it there: http://www.chronologicallylost.com/2010/07/episode-036-october-15-18-2004-days-24.html?showComment=1278085872154#c3007671369409358872
