Episode 057: November 25-27, 2004 (Days 65 to 67)
Jack, Sawyer and Sayid head out towards the sailboat, guns in hand. They reach the boat, only to find a drunken Desmond in the cabin. Turns out Desmond had been sailing in one direction for two weeks, and ended up right back at the island. Sayid shares his plan to ambush the Others with Jack. He will take the boat to the other side of the island to provide the element of surprise. In the hatch, Locke tries to get Eko to stop pushing the button, but Eko forcibly removes him from the hatch instead. Jin and Sun go with Sayid on the sailboat since they know how to operate it. Michael heads off with Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate, and we get our first glimpse of the great Hurleybird. Locke sits down with Desmond and tells him that the button is worthless, and works out a plan with him to prevent Eko from pushing the button. While the sailboat heads over to the other side of the island, they see the foot of the statue of Tawaret. Meanwhile, Locke distracts Eko who leaves the computer, and allows Desmond to activate the blast doors to keep Eko out. Eko goes and gets Charlie to help him get the doors open. While Jack and the others head through the jungle, they spot a couple of the Others and kill one of them. Jack forces Michael to reveal the Others plan to bring the four of them, and admits to killing Ana Lucia and Libby. Eko and Charlie get a stick of dynamite and try to blow open the blast door, but are unsuccessful. Sayid makes it to the other side of the island, but when he gets there, he finds the 'camp' abandoned, and the doors that Walt was supposedly behind, simply covering up a rock wall. Meanwhile, Michael leads everyone to a different place, away from the camp they thought they were going to, and they are all captured by the Others. While sitting in the hatch, Desmond takes a look at the printed log from the Pearl that Eko took to the Swan. Desmond looks at it, and realizes that his failure to push the button on September 22nd caused the crash of Oceanic 815. The episode is 39:11 and is 327MB to download.
