Chronologically LOST: Remastered in HD!

So, I discovered an awesome thing the other week that apparently has actually been around since last year and I was just completely out of the loop. LOST superfan Brett has taken Chronologically LOST and redid the entire project in HD using the LOST Blurays!

This is an incredible feat by him and I'm very grateful for his work, as I have previously made it very clear that I now have two small children at home and would never be able to find time to do it all again in HD.

Couple links for you. First is his post about the project on OriginalTrilogy.com: https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Chronologically-Lost-HD-Remaster-of-Mike-Maloneys-edit-FINISHED/id/68693/page/1

Second is a link to the torrent where you can download all of the episodes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jYrGfUmHVe2EqARaEZmEG-vHsg-CeGyH/view?usp=sharing

Plenty of seeders on the torrent for the files, so you should be able to get some great speeds.

    1. Well, you're not missing anything, as Facebook has apparently deleted the fan page. I'll have to go through the site and scrub mentions of it.

Anyway, the torrent file is saved here on a Google Drive, just download it and open it in the torrent client of your choice: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jYrGfUmHVe2EqARaEZmEG-vHsg-CeGyH/view?usp=sharing

    2. Somehow the encoding is not recognized by Windows Media Player and even VLC has problems with the video. Any idea how to fix this?

    3. I'm not surprised it doesn't play in WMP, there are a lot of file types it has trouble with, including MKV files.

VLC plays it fine, though, so I can't comment there. I'd maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling VLC and see if that does anything for you. It was encoded using the somewhat newer x265 codec, but it's nothing that VLC can't handle.

  3. Is it supposed to stall? I've been at 93.1% for some time.

    1. No, it shouldn't, there are a number of seeders (including myself) out there.

    1. You can message Brett on the message board in the first link, he's been sharing links to the files.

Otherwise on the homepage of this site at the very top there's a link to a torrent for the files.

  5. Is there anywhere I can stream this? I dont have enough space to download!

    1. Please see my comment directly above yours. I would try messaging Brett on the board in the first link. That's really the only thing I can think of.

Either that, or download the torrent, but just download one episode at a time (or however many episodes you have space for) instead of downloading all the files in the torrent.

  6. Forgot I had a Blogger profile. But thanks for the nudge, Mike, even if it was a year late to reply. lol

I did notice I got a bunch of replies on the OT.com thread I missed. For some reason, I no longer get email notifications for thread replies, but PMs I still do, so you'll have to PM me from now on there.

It doesn't look like you can stream on Mega with the current link up. I know Google Drive did but I had to make that private again as the original torrent link got removed earlier this year, no idea if that was copyright/ToS related, but I did it just to be safe. I never intended on sharing the GDrive link publicly but it ended up happening and I then saw what happened, Bandwidth Exceeded constantly.

    1. All good. I didn't realize I didn't have a link to the torrent in this post, I should probably edit that in now that the Facebook group has been removed.

  7. I'm trying to download but I get a message saying the torrent is currently in "upload only" mode. Using qBittorrent

    1. Hi Eric, that's an issue with your bittorrent client, that's not something that would be caused by the torrent itself.

    2. Got it sorted, thanks for pointing me to the client settings.

  8. I just watched it! Was awesome seeing it this way although I don't understand why you chose to not show the events as the characters experience them chronologically? For instance seeing the whole James and Juliet living at the Dharma in the 70s was way too confusing and especially the ending part as well? I figured since it was "chronological" you wouldn't actually take it literally by showing what happened in each year? Woudn't it had made more sense especially for the time travel stuff to be shown in the order in which they happen? That would have made the ending make a lot more sense no?

    1. The way you're describing is not possible. For example, you mention James and Juliet and their lives being shown out of order. But what about Ben Linus? His life is shown in order, and if I prioritized showing James' life in chronological order, then Ben's life would be out of order.

The time travel aspect of the show makes it too complicated to try and focus on the characters' chronological story. The point of this project was to effectively use the island as a narrator, and have the story told from the island's perspective. So it starts with our first moments on the island, with Mother, and Jacob, and the Man in Black. And it concludes with our final moments on the island, after Jack restores the light, and the remaining LOSTies get off the island (again).
