You still won't know their entire purpose at that time, but it does provide some additional clarity as to who they are and what they're doing.Mike Maloneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09293592756387294116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700050482821782714.post-62061364876622216872013-02-27T16:52:51.778-06:002013-02-27T16:52:51.778-06:00I liked seeing the story of how Richard came to th...I liked seeing the story of how Richard came to the island almost from a fresh perspective here. I felt we also got a little more depth into the relationship between Jacob and the MIB.

I know this wasn't your intention anyway but again, watching as a newcomer would be a bit confusing, but I liked how Locke returned to the other group (Sawyer, Juliet, etc) and it is starting to come together more as a story now.

Still enjoying watching through in this order though and I think it should start to get more fun soon once we get introduced to the characters more through the flashbacks and their lives on the island.

Also as a side note, and seeing as these episodes don't really have titles, I thought I'd call this one 'What Can't Kill You..'.Roehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02033564390487214200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700050482821782714.post-67449899982522894742012-04-13T09:12:25.910-05:002012-04-13T09:12:25.910-05:00Hmm, interesting. However, now that I look into it, that reveal doesn't appear to be canon, as it is just supplementary DVD material, and if it wasn't on the show, or confirmed by Damon & Carlton as being part of the LOST story, then it's not canon. Damon has always maintained that the outrigger scene will remain a mystery, so I think I'm fine leaving it where I put it, in 2007. That was really where it was supposed to end up anyways.Mike Maloneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09293592756387294116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700050482821782714.post-89261396533468872122012-03-22T19:29:12.081-05:002012-03-22T19:29:12.081-05:00Just curious, without having watched any of the ep...Just curious, without having watched any of the episodes yet, given that the BluRay Complete Series set revealed that the mysterious second canoe that was shooting at the Losties in the Season 5 episode "The Little Prince" was actually the crew of the Black Rock, are you planning to cut that into this episode? It would have been difficult to do before that set came out, as the timing of that scene was still unknown, but this would be where it fits, firmly in the past.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10733555228114560327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-700050482821782714.post-85694326382597345782010-06-11T03:45:38.871-05:002010-06-11T03:45:38.871-05:00Very, very cool. However, it was very cool the way you ended the first and it was awesome seeing the Jacob and MiB scene spliced into Ab Aeterno.

It kind of feels like watching a soap opera that has been on air for nearly a century and where they have to keep revolving the central cast due to actors leaving and dying, except with entire decades worth of episodes missing in the aether.

I can't wait for later episodes. Seeing the flashbacks in some sort of order and in a long stretch before we get back to the Island will be neat. And seeing the flashforwards in correct(ish) order will be sweet. Thanks for doing this.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01725026169134970809noreply@blogger.com
